I've been interviewed by Vanessa Chapman at the Limebirds website.
My very first interview!
As a bonus you get to see a different picture of me! Aren't you thrilled?

Vanessa is not only a Limebird --
she writes a highly entertaining blog of her own
that I strongly recommend (http://vanessa-chapman.com/).
I enjoyed interviewing you Lorinda, and thank you for the recommendation of my personal blog too!
ReplyDeleteIt was particularly interesting finding out about what inspired you to write about termites! Funnily enough, this morning I was watching a cookery show on TV. It's a series where this guy is going on a culinary tour of africa, today some native people had turned an old abandoned termite mound into a kind of kiln to cook in because it retained the heat so well! I thought of you of course.
Fascinating piece of information! I can well imagine turning one into an oven because I think those mounds are hard as bricks. Only aardvarks can penetrate them and then all the little workers rush out (guarded by soldiers) and frantically patch up the holes! And everything eats termites, especially the alates (winged reproductives) - from aardvarks and anteaters to humans! They really are the base of a food chain, and that's why they reproduce so prolifically.
DeleteThanks for coming 'round and commenting, Vanessa!
